Weekly Fit Topic

Check-In

On the first day of Fitness Bootcamp we will take your measurements and assess your physical abilities through a series of tests.  In spite of the fact that many people are embarrassed by the beginning numbers, we don’t do the assessments to humiliate.  On the contrary, the tests are done to give us a baseline upon which to compare at the end of the session which will result in a great deal of pride upon reaching your goal.
During each 7-week Fitness Bootcamp program, we discuss a variety of topics to help guide you toward a healthier, more-fit lifestyle. Generally there are two topics discussed each week.

Fit Topics are listed on a drop-down menu under the Bootcamper's Page button above.  Homework assignments are found here as well as articles and other materials which support the weekly lessons.

It's very important for each bootcamper to check-in and check-out of every class.  This allows us to follow your progress and is an important safety issue.  If you miss a class, be sure to ask your trainer the best way to make-up your workout so that you stay on track with your fitness goal.

Most people are apprehensive about their weight.   It is important to understand that weight can fluctuate greatly depending on a number of factors such as:  the time of day, your hydration level, whether or not you’re hydrated, if you’re regular, or (ladies) if you’re pre-menstrual.  Because of this, we remind our bootcampers not to get ‘hung up’ on a daily weight reading.  About a pound per week is ideal for healthy, sustainable weight loss so, as long as our weight is slowly declining from week to week, then our goal will be reached relatively quickly by following the Fitness Bootcamp program recommendations.
